27 Feb February Wrap-Up: Growth, Strategy & Business Wins!
Hello lovelies,
February has been an incredible month filled with learning, networking, and levelling up my business and the amazing community of small business owners, OBMs, virtual assistants, and entrepreneurs I work with.
Between attending business strategy workshops, finance training, and networking events, I’ve been soaking up insights and connecting with some truly inspiring people. It’s been a whirlwind, but a good one!
Here’s a little round-up of what I got up to this month:
Business Wins This Month
- Deep diving into business training & strategy. From pricing strategies to AI-powered content marketing, it’s been a month of learning how to work smarter, not harder.
- Networking like never before. I’ve attended fantastic virtual networking events and in-person creative business meetups, building relationships with brilliant business owners.
- Getting serious about finances. I’ve honed my financial knowledge with several cash flow management and bookkeeping training sessions and picked up new strategies to share with my clients.
Webinars & Training Sessions I Attended
This month, one of my big focuses has been professional development and training, particularly in business growth, course creation, and finance management. With my personal training and course development work happening in the evenings, I kept sharpening my skills through webinars and workshops.
I was absolutely spoilt for choice with what The FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) offers (their member benefits are fantastic!), along with BIPC Norfolk, Wenta, and Lunch & Learns on Eventbrite. If you’re a small business owner or entrepreneur, I highly recommend checking them out—most sessions are free!
Some of the most valuable sessions I attended:
- How to Build a Winning Business Strategy for 2025– Future-proofing a business is key, and this session was packed with actionable business growth strategies.
- Burnout-Proof Your Business– We all know how real burnout is, and this session was a great reminder of how to create a scalable business model that supports both clients and energy levels.
- AI-Powered Content Strategy– AI is changing how we work, and this session covered how to use it to improve content marketing for small businesses.
- Pricing Your Small Business Services– Pricing is one of the trickiest things to get right, and this session helped break down how to price virtual assistant services (or any service-based business) for profitability and sustainability.
- Time Management for Busy Entrepreneurs– Because let’s be honest, we all want to master productivity and time management so we can get more done without working 24/7.
Networking: Meeting Incredible Business Owners
This month, I prioritised getting out there and connecting with other small business owners, freelancers, OBM’s and virtual assistants. I attended some fantastic networking events, including:
- Creatives Connect – Norfolk– A great online event packed with inspiring conversations with fellow creatives.
- East of England Virtual Networking for Small Businesses– A brilliant online meet-up filled with collaboration opportunities and business insights.
- Networking Norwich: Set Your Mind for Success– A deep dive into the business mindset, motivation, and goal setting hosted by FSB East Anglia and BIPC Norfolk, Wendy Richards did a phenomenal job motivating us all with her personal story of success and practical tips.
- Group Mentoring: Making Sense of Financial Information– Finance isn’t everyone’s favourite topic, but this session made it practical and even (dare I say it?) enjoyable!
Every session reinforced what I already knew—business is built on relationships, not just strategy. I’ve come away with fresh ideas, new connections, and exciting collaborations in the works!
What’s Coming Up in March?
With February preparing to exit the year, I’m gearing up for an equally productive and exciting March! Here’s what’s on my radar:
