March Wrap-Up

March Wrap-Up at The Creative Desk: Speaking, Awards & Big Wins!

Hi, lovely people,

I can hardly believe March is over! It’s been a whirlwind of brilliant conversations, behind-the-scenes wins, and community connections at The Creative Desk. From impactful events to exciting recognition, March really packed a punch—and yes, I’m still riding the high (and drinking the coffee).

Whether you’re a neurodivergent entrepreneur, a small business owner looking for clarity, or just here for a bit of inspiration, this one’s for you. Let’s dive in…

Speaking at the FSB & BIPC Events

One of the biggest highlights this month?

I had the absolute joy of being a guest speaker alongside the brilliant Stephanie Camilleri from The ADHD Advocate, for two fantastic events hosted by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), FSB East Anglia and the Business & Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC).

  • On 19 March, we joined forces for a webinar exploring ADHD in the workplace—busting myths and sharing practical ways to build inclusive systems.
  • Then on 21 March, we brought that same energy into a live workshop, sharing real-life strategies that actually work for ADHD brains in business.

From time management hacks like “chunking” (not chocolate, sadly) to how an OBM or Virtual Assistant can support neurodivergent professionals, it was an empowering couple of days. Big thanks to the FSB and BIPC teams for making it all so smooth—and for the snacks.

P.S. If you attended either session and want to take the next step, send over your proof of attendance and get 15% off your first three months of made-for-you support from The Creative Desk.

SME News Award Win: Still Pinching Myself!

Drumroll please… I’m thrilled to share that The Creative Desk has won the SME News UK Enterprise Awards – Business Admin & ADHD Support Specialists of the Year 2025!

The official awards launch kicks off in June, but I’m already beaming with pride. This recognition means so much—not just for me, but for everyone working hard behind the scenes to build supportive, sustainable businesses that don’t rely on hustle culture.

Poppyland Radio – On the Airwaves as Project Manager!

And yes, I had a little radio moment this month! I appeared on Poppyland Radio in my role as Project Manager for their exciting Awards Launch. It’s such an honour to support this community-driven initiative—nothing like hearing your own voice in stereo to make it all feel real!

Keep an ear out—there’s more to come from that direction, and I can’t wait to share the magic we’re building.

Celebrating Neurodiversity: Every Day, Not Just This Month

March was also Neurodiversity Celebration Month, a cause close to our hearts at The Creative Desk. We shared tips for ADHD-friendly systems, created content around workplace inclusion, and highlighted the unique strengths neurodiverse entrepreneurs bring.

You can now grab my free downloadable tools and resources here. Whether you’re neurodivergent yourself or supporting a diverse team, these guides are full of practical, tried-and-tested strategies that make a difference.

I also loved being interviewed by the brilliant Milton Dunleavy, a university student working on his 3rd year University Neurodiverse Business owner documentary. We chatted about my journey, ADHD, and what it’s like running a business designed to support others with similar experiences. His thoughtful questions and genuine curiosity gave me hope for the next generation of advocates and change-makers.

March in Social Posts: A Quick Recap

Here’s what we explored over on InstagramLinkedIn, and Facebook this month:

  • World Book Day: I shared what I’m learning from The Chimp Paradox by Dr. Steve Peters. Great for mindset and self-leadership!
  • Employee Appreciation Day: A big shoutout to Jannet, my right-hand VA hero. I’d be lost without her!
  • Trends in Online Business Management: From AI to automation, we’re staying ahead so you don’t have to.
  • The Rise of Specialised VAs: Why 2025 is the year of expert support.
  • Celebrating Neurodiverse Women: Because success isn’t about fitting in—it’s about standing out.
  • Creating Compassionate Workplaces: Why heart-led business always wins.
